Stained glass, two layers

​

From afar this could be a train travelling through the night, or perhaps it's a snapshot of an underground train rattling through a tunnel in between London's clay. But move closer and look through its windows. Here are its passengers. Perhaps one of them is you or you recognise someone you know.

 

This triptych revels in the simplicity of stained glass: radiant rays of light passing through the painted surface. It also celebrates the joy of looking through it... only to find familiarity. This piece is one in a series ruminating on the voyeurism of daily life.
